Mea Makamae, Hawaiian Treasures, is a treasure trove of wonderful music from Hawai‘i’s premier artists including Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole, Dennis Pavao, Mäkaha Sons, Teresa Bright, with ‘Ale‘a, Justin and Kahua representing the new wave of talented musicians. Other gifted and respected singers missing from the airwaves are happily included, Rocky Brown, Cyril Pahinui, Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett, Del Beazley and the Hawaiian All Star Band.

Mea Makamae is also a celebration of traditional Hawaiian music. Classics from the pens of our great composers Lena Machado, Charles E. King, King David Kaläkaua, and Queen Lili‘uokalani share the stage with Na Hoku Hanohano Award–winning contemporary composers Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewett, Justin Young and Puakea Nogelmeier.
